Energypoint is an independent energy publication about energy for industry, logistics and commercial property in Slovakia. We write about how the price and availability of electricity becomes a criterion in the site selection of warehouses and industrial parks, about rooftop solar and storage for halls, about the energy efficiency and certification of buildings, and about corporate renewables. We read the Slovak market in the context of the Central European grid and European Union energy policy.
An anonymous newsroom, authority in method
Energypoint is an anonymous publication. Articles are bylined as Energypoint Editorial and written in the third person. We deliberately do not sign texts with the names of individuals: the authority of this site rests not on a person but on the editorial process and on named primary sources. Every price, capacity or share on this site traces to a regulator, a grid operator or a statistics office and carries the date on which it holds.
This means the verifiability of a figure does not depend on trust in an author, but on the ability to trace it back to a primary source. The sources we rely on include the Regulatory Office for Network Industries (ÚRSO), the transmission system operator SEPS, the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA), the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic and Eurostat. Scope of this site
energypoint.sk covers energy for industry and logistics: energy as a location factor, solar generation and battery storage, the energy efficiency and certification of buildings (EPBD, nearly-zero-energy buildings, BREEAM/LEED), and corporate renewables including PPAs, guarantees of origin and the pressure of initiatives such as RE100. We do not sell panels, batteries or supply contracts; we read prices, connection rules and decarbonisation targets and say what they mean for a park developer, a warehouse operator and an energy manager.
The site is bilingual, in Slovak and English. It does not deal with households or with personalised advice; the texts are analyses, not personalised recommendations (see Legal Notice).
