This page lists the primary sources on which the analysis at energypoint.sk rests. We prefer regulators, grid operators, state agencies and statistics offices over secondary journalism. Where a figure reaches us through a trade outlet, we work to trace the original table of the cited authority. How we handle figures is described under Editorial Methodology.
Primary sources and their purpose
- ÚRSO — Regulatory Office for Network Industries: regulated energy prices, price decrees, connection rules and the charging of any excess over reserved capacity for feed-in to the distribution grid.
- SEPS — Slovak transmission system operator: installed system capacity, capacity available for connecting new sources, the energy mix and transmission-grid stability.
- OKTE — short-term electricity market operator: market data on electricity trading, imbalance settlement and the register of guarantees of origin.
- SIEA — Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency: support programmes for businesses (for example rooftop solar and energy audits), national projects financed from EU funds, and energy advisory.
- Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic: the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP), energy policy, nuclear projects and decarbonisation targets to 2030 and 2050.
- Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic: national energy and industrial statistics, energy consumption and economic indicators.
- Eurostat: comparable electricity prices for industrial consumers across the EU, renewable shares and member-state energy statistics.
Supporting and specialist sources
Alongside primary sources we also use EU and Slovak legislation (for example the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and its transposition into Slovak law) and specialist energy media or industry analyses. These serve for context and for tracing original data; in the text we always distinguish them from regulator figures and mark them as a secondary reporting layer.
How to read source references
In articles we state the source name and the as-of date of a figure directly next to the number. Where two sources diverge, we give both values with attribution and do not average them. Requests to clarify a source or correct a figure can be sent through the editorial contact form (see Contact & Privacy).
